About Bikram Yoga

The Bikram Yoga Series is a challenging 90 minute practice that improves physical strength, flexibility and balance while enhancing mental clarity and focus. It consists of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises performed in a heated room. Each posture stretches and strengthens muscles, ligaments, tendons and joints. The postures also stimulate the organs, glands and nerves, moving fresh oxygenated blood to the body and restoring systems to healthy working order.
The heat accelerates the healing process by warming the muscles, increasing circulation, preventing injury and cleansing the body by flushing out toxins through the skin.
In time, you will learn how to focus your mind and control your breath leading you to work harder, deeper and calmer. As you learn how to focus and breathe more effectively, you will realize the true meaning of yoga: a union of body, mind and spirit.
