My friend Melissa told me about Bikram Yoga. She suggested that I try a class, she thought I would like it. She was right! I found it very challenging but wanted to come back and learn more.
I don’t have one favorite posture, but I really like the standing series. I think it is the toughest part of the class. I know once I get through that part, the rest of the class will fly by.
Every class is different, and definately some more difficult than others. What brings me back each time is knowing that it’s ok to struggle sometimes. If you keep trying your best, things will eventually get better. There is a lot of positive energy released during the classes. Everyone is very supportive.
Practicing Bikram Yoga has helped me to be more mindful of my behavior and to try to be more patient. It has also taught me that it is ok to not be perfect.
There are numerous benefits from Bikram Yoga. It has helped me become more flexible and has improved my balance and core strength. I particularly enjoy all of the wisdom the instructors impart during the classes. I try to remember all the things they try to teach us, not just how to do the postures. I am aware of a general sense of well-being. Practicing Bikram Yoga really makes me happy.
